getting bored....how do i become HELPER nation???
Hi Friends,
I have been playing TN for 2-3 months and really getting bored. Reached level 80, not a big fan of the parties, though i am level 15.
So cut down on play, right now i am thinking of becoming a "HELPER" nation that would mean removing my awesome neighbours and opening up room for lower than level 50 players only.
Any thoughts, any one already do this?
I would remove shops that low level players can't access but i forget what shops/ items they can access.. i think sushi and tea house are too high?
Should i go all CHAPEL to help or stick to sculptor, tailor, flower and bake shop?
Please no more adds for now

First, it helps to have a mix of all shops. If your bonus is high and you have the special bonus items like the bakery oven for the Bakery and the flower stand for the Flower Shop, then the payouts are pretty close across all the shops. I have at least two of each shop and I haven't hit the shop limit and even my L50 neighbours still place bakery and flower orders.
Second, you can have 200 neighbours. Are all 200 of them people you would never hit the minus button on? If so, then discuss the situation with them. If most of them are at L80 and getting bored like yourself then maybe some of them would be willing to make room in your neighbourhood to help new players. You can always keep in touch with them here in the forums, both in the threads and with PMs.
You may find that getting ready to do this is engaging in itself... communicating with all your neigbours, arranging your village with the right shop mix and making it look nice (you want to impress your new guests, right?) and then finally meeting new neighbours!
I've been playing the game for a year and a half, and I'm still not bored with it. Hope you find the same :)
hey im your neighbour on my nation, and you kindly added my baby nation. I'd be sad to see you go :( i guess my suggestion would be to not remove your old neighbours, until they go inactive, and then only add new players who you can help
I have both a low level helper nation in pbtowntx. It is fun to see the neighbors grow up.
I also have what i call a FAME helper nation for nations who have fame less than their first masquerade. It is pbtown. Just yesterday i eliminated the neighbors who had level 80 and fame 20. It was hard to do. I had communicated with them about what i was doing but hitting delete was still difficult. I still have about 10 of my original neighbors who have been with me for a year. I would like there to be more fame helpers. I hold operas, jamborees, variety and masquerades regularly. I try get to 30 parties a day with most being rallys or auctiions but they are working together to get bigger and more famous. There is more cooperation between them then when i got famous.
Try doing this. You will be rewarded with adoring neighbors!
I think what most of us helpers did, was to send our old times neighbors to our new towns... Most helpers have several nations.
mix of shops- few of all low level shops like flower shop and bakeries, few sculptures that give great returns, one or two of each of the others. Tea is ok, sushi is ok if you want nations up till 50.
Most difficult part is educating - no self trading, notice if afk etc.
Biggest problem is those who stop playing without notice. After a few weeks about half of new players disappear without notice.. You are left with long list of inactive players, unless you place trades and delete those who expire.
On the other side it's lovely to see them grow, expand, turn sometimes I to beautiful places.
I am a retired teacher. I am trading and checking in on parties at least 10 hours a day. Being a helper is a lot of work but rewarding!
Btw, lurker I have 450 neighbours, I believe that the neighbour cap is 500 rather than 200 :-) more if you got them prior to the cap coming in

If you have awsome neighbors it seems a bit rude to remove them, believe me it hurts to be deleted from someone having been long time neighbors!
sorry for the of topic answer
